Kotak Neo API Integration Guide

I. API Activation

Step 1: Login to the Kotak Neo web terminal at
https://neo.kotaksecurities.com/Login

Step 2: Once logged in, click on the 'INVEST' tab on the top menu bar.

Step 3: Once you are on the Invest page, click on the 'TRADE API' menu item.

Step 4: Once you are on the Trade API page, you will see the 'Create your first application' button. Click on that button to create a new API app.

Step 5: Upon clicking 'Create your first application', a new API app will be generated with app name Default Application along with a Token under it. This Token will be used later when you setup your Kotak account on our website.

Note: With this, your API Activation step is complete. Please save/copy the Token for later use.

II. TOTP Activation

Step 1: Go to https://www.kotaksecurities.com/platform/kotak-neo-trade-api/totp-registration

Step 2: Enter your registered mobile number and click on Proceed.

Step 3: Enter the 4 digit OTP received on your registered mobile number.

Step 4: Select the Client ID and click Continue.

Step 5: Select the option Register TOTP and click Continue.

Step 6: You will now see a QR Code. Scan this QR code in your Google Authenticator app. You will see the new TOTP generated after scanning the QR code, enter the TOTP in the box below the QR code and click Continue.

Step 7: If TOTP is successfully activated, you will see the message "TOTP registered successfully".

Note: Download Google Authenticator app from Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) if you don't have it already. The TOTP code will be required during login along with MPIN.

III. MPIN Setup

Step 1: Login to the Kotak Neo web terminal at
https://neo.kotaksecurities.com/Login

Step 2: Once logged in, click on your initials on the top right hand corner of the screen to open the main menu bar, and then click on the Account Details option.

Step 3: On the Account Details page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and find the MPIN option. Click on it and setup your new MPIN.

Note: MPIN will be required to generate the daily access token to use the API.

IV. Login to iCharts Tools

Step 1: Please click on Live Tools >> Option Chain or any other live tool and then click on Kotakneo in our website.

Step 2: Enter Token from Kotakneo (default Apllication) The Token generated during API activation (Step I) from their website and Click on SUBMIT button to save details.

Next Enter the following details:

• Client ID: Your 5-digit Kotak client ID
• Mobile Number: Your Kotak registered mobile number
• TOTP: The 6-digit TOTP code from your Google Authenticator app (from Step III)

Click on Login to proceed.

Step 3: After submitting, you will be prompted to enter:

• MPIN: The MPIN you created in Step II

Enter your MPIN then click Login.

Step 4: You will be redirected to the selected tool on successful login.
